Day 7

Since I updated last I have taken in a farm cat and found what seems to be a CB radio. After figuring out how to use the thing I was able to contact a few of the surrounding houses. There is a small family of three a mile down the road. Their son was bit, from what they have told me but they refuse to put him down. Maybe they don't believe that what is out there is exactly what is out there.

Last night I had a meal of canned peaches and stale bread. I'd do anything for some taco bell right about now. Makes me wonder what type of world will be left if I stay here and wait out this hell on Earth.

Day 5

It's been five days since the outbreak. I'm not exactly sure what happened but I have seen enough horror films to know what I'm up against. My car crashed a football field's lenght away from this farm house and it was only sheer luck that I found a place to stay. I have checked the grounds twice over and since then I have boarded up the house. It's only a matter of time before they come after me too.

As I sit here I wonder what has happened to my parents and little brother. Have they found a place to hide like me or have they fallen to the undead? I only hope that they are alright. If I thought I was safe enough I'd go after them but I'm afraid that will never be the case.

Now, I'm going to take yet another check of the windows and doors before taking stock of what food is in the basement.
